Home front items include newspaper clippings about the Lynchburg Home Guard, U.S. Defense Savings Bonds stamp album (but no stamps), war ration book in a holder, bookmarks urging the saving of kitchen fat, a program for Lynchburg's Navy Day (held 27 Oct. 1946), program for a patriotic revue held in 1942, and bags for saving tinfoil, printed by the British War Relief Society. Military items include currency used by American occupation troops in Europe and Japan, some German stamps and currency, an American army shoulder patch, German cigarette trade cards, and photos taken in Europe.
